laser a-peel system

What is Dr. Brandt’s laser a-peel system?

laser a-peel systemThis is a 2 piece at home chemical peel system that is said to tighten pores, firm skin, improve elasticity and remove dead skin cells that leave you skin looking dull. This peel claims that it will give you a look of refreshed and rejuvenated skin. Because of the chemicals used in this peeling system it can also help decrease the appearance and depth of acne scarring.

How does Dr. Brandt’s laser a-peel system work?

This peel works in a 2 part system. The first is the peeling solution that is applied to the skin for a duration on 5 minutes and then needs to be immediately washed off. After the peeling solution is removed you apply the soothing gel which is supposed to calm the skin after applying the active and sometimes uncomfortable ingredients in the peel.

What are the active ingredients in Dr. Brandt’s laser a-peel system?

  • Lactic Acid: promotes good skin health, helps acne scarring, evens the color in your skin, even make your skin look younger and healthier.
  • Glycolic Acid: has been found to be effective as an anti aging treatment for your skin, potentially removing smaller wrinkles and lines
  • QuSome™: Delivers ingredients efficaciously to the epidermis.
  • Allantoin: Calms and soothes.

Conclusion

I think the active ingredients in this chemical peel are great ingredients. I don’t think people understand just how important exfoliating (both chemical and mechanical exfoliating) is when it comes to having beautiful skin. This would be a good mild way to do that. That being said I would like to add that I don’t think that this peeling system is nearly as effective as a peel you would receive at a medical spa or dermatologist’s office. The percentages of active ingredients that are allowed to be used in at home peels are much lower than that which a trained professional can do. If you are going to spend $75 you may want to put that money towards a professional treatment that will give you results that you will really be able to see and feel.
